What is Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET)?
Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) is a gentle, non-invasive process that clears emotional responses the body is holding to events long past. NET uses kinesiology (muscle testing) in conjunction with the body’s meridian reflex points and semantic (the way we describe something) reactions to help guide people through the process.
Science has shown us how the body holds emotions. Dr. Candice Pert, in her research for NIH, discovered that emotions are carried throughout the body in the form of neuropeptides and biochemicals (see Molecules of Emotion, by Dr. Candice Pert). When we have emotional reactions to significant events in our life, most often the body returns to its normal state within a reasonable time following the event. However, there are times when an emotional response becomes locked into the body. When this happens it is called a Neuro Emotional Complex (NEC). NEC’s have reflexive patterns much like Post Traumatic Stress or learned behavioral responses; and they may be conscious or unconscious. Unresolved NEC’s can produce psychological, behavioral and physical symptoms.

Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) is informed by eastern schools of medicine that recognize the body’s energy (Chi) system and the correlation of various emotions with specific organ meridians. NET is also informed by research done with kinesiology (muscle testing) as a way of identifying unconscious congruencies and incongruencies.
NET is not a talk therapy and does involve some touching of the client by the therapist.
NET works with emotional reality which is based on one’s perception of an event. Emotional reality differs from historic reality. Thus, events that come up during NET may or may not correspond with actual historical events.
